Sometimes people do incredibly stupid things. Sometimes people are irrational, irascible, untenable; unavoidable. Sometimes people do things they've always wanted to do; sometimes they do nothing, and sit awhile watching the world go by - where people try the things they're too scared, too afraid of, to try. People get scared, they get worried, they get aggressive, they get non-committal, or insatiable. People will scare you, and alarm you. People will love you, and hate you, and malign you, and slight you: ostracise you, push you, throw you, adore you, deplore you. The world will ignore you, enjoy you, fascinate you, bore you. You could drive, or walk, or sing, dance, breathe, feel the air on your lips; kiss the stream and drink the ground. Your options are illimitable, if only you can open your mind: try everything, regret nothing. Appreciate anything, dislike note: experience is not a concept to dislike or like, it is a concept to enjoy irrespective of outcome; it is new things, new places, new ideas, new faces, new loves, new sex, new recklessness.
It is this that keeps us alive. You've no need to apologise because I don't resent you. You are in a bad place, and none of it is directly caused by me, thus I feel no guilt, no empathy: I sympathise, and I will do everything in my power to help you, but I will not regret it. Your regrets keep you here, and the shadows of your demons chase you for ever. It is time to face up to that which you fear: clearly there is there unsaid, unspoken, unmentioned - it is time to say them, speak them, intone them, mention them, do them, be them. Unresolved issues are not for us to dwell on: they are for us to look at, to question, to answer, to long for, to abhor: they are for us to understand. When we understand them we can move past them. I don't care if it's love, or if it's hate, or if it's indifference, or if it's troubling you, or if it's troubling me, or if it's wrong; unwanted, unimagined, unfathomable. We can figure it out, if you'd only speak the words.
Be a fatalist, be a determinist; explore the unexplored, and imagine the unimaginable. Existentialism is your crutch, if you'd only acknowledge it. I can help you, teach you, guide you, fuck you, and love you. I see the good in you - iridescent as a waxing moon on a milky-foam pond; undulating and cascading beneath the hate you know is your own, for you, against you, from you. I can be the gas to alight the passion, but not through inconsistency. Love me or loathe me: but pick an option, because the other is confusing and boring.
We love and we hate, and there is never room for the middle-ground. Find your middle-ground, my friend, and we will be conjoined forever in the immutable vastness of consciousness.
How to say nothing with a large vocabulary.
